day 158: dave’s special dinner.

Today was Dave’s b-day! THe above picture is Dave warming his hands on the 29 candles…and consequently trying to blow them out (which took a few tries).
Today we went to the most fab little Vietnamese restaurant in Abbotsford called “New Saigon”. Dave’s favourite meal there is called the “Henry’s Special”, which today he has officially rated as his top 3 favourite restaurant dishes. I always get the hot pot soup, which…seriously…is the most amazing soup I’ve ever tasted. An added bonus–New Saigon is totally reasonably priced. Best Vietnamese in town. Fo’ shiz.
I didn’t take any pictures at dinner today though, because I’ve been a spacey blogger lately and haven’t brought my camera anywhere really. *sigh*

I love that restaurant too! My favorite meal is the chicken noodle soup. If you get the small, it cost only $7 and it is large enough to feed 2 people. Add a little hot sauce, bean sprouts and then their Vietnamese coffee and it is heaven! Their lemonade is fantastic too, I think they put some coconut flavoring in it.
